Installation

Download the installer
Grab the signed PKG from the official GitHub release. It is the cleanest path and the one we support publicly.

Install and open Orbit
The installer places Orbit in Applications and opens it for you, so setup starts immediately instead of leaving you in Finder.

Follow the guided permissions
Onboarding requests Screen Recording, Accessibility, and Microphone one at a time, with live status and a plain explanation of each.

Connect and start talking
Orbit reuses your existing ChatGPT auth when available or opens a quick login. Voice is on-device by default — add your own OpenAI key later if you want cloud voices.

Orbit is now public on GitHub, and the latest signed macOS installer is published from the same repo as the source.
